My amazing niece Molly Rose has always been a unique and forward-thinking person. She started a recycling program in grade school, played football in high school, stayed true to a flexible gender identity, and began her first year of college with the goal of studying forensic anthropology.
My mom keeps a journal of quotes and poems and thoughts that inspire her. She shared this quote from Molly that inspired this blog.
“I am an imperfect being, and you have all the right to be confused. Please keep asking questions.”
I would wish for all of us the bravery to give ourselves that much room to be who we are.
